
DR. RATTAN LAL
Dr.
Rattan Lal is an internationally recognized soil scientist. He is Professor
and Director of Carbon Management and Sequestration
Center at the Ohio State
University. He received his degrees from Punjab Agricultural
University, Indian Agricultural Research Institute, and the Ohio
State University. Dr. Lal is a leading researcher
on soil processes, carbon dynamics, and soil erosion. He has authored
and edited 41 books and over 300 scientific journal articles. His research
and teaching contributions have been recognized with the Soil Science Research
Award, Soil Science Applied Research Award, and International Soil Science Award,
the International Agronomy Award, and many other distinguished scholar awards.
Dr. Lal is a member of the U.S. National Committee of Soil Science of the National
Academy of Sciences and is a Fellow of the ASA, SSSA, SWCS, and AAAS.
